Red Sox Triple Play
After watching this spectacular triple play against the Tampa Bay Rays it reminded us of a shoot we did with Dustin Pedroia. The second baseman was the fulcrum of this rare play last night, which the Red Sox have not done in 18 years.
Well Done Sox!

On the Road Again
Recently, one of our clients asked us to hit the road and photograph a family in southern Massachusetts. BJ's Wholesale Club prints a quarterly journal for it members and features a member profile in each issue.
It is always a fun challenge to go into someone's home and photograph people who are not models or used to being in front of a camera. We rearranged their living room to create a studio for the main picture and then set up a shot on the couch to capture the whole family. Cindy was fantastic to work with, and her little girls, Ryleigh, Peyton, and Emerson were very fun.
After we put everything back in it's place we bid them farewell and headed back to Boston.
If you are a BJ's member you could be the next member profile - go to their Facebook page to learn more!

These Boots Were Made for Photographin'
A few months ago we were asked by one of our clients, Timberland, to photograph their classic yellow boot.
Timberland wanted the photo look as though it were shot outside, but it had to be photographed indoors for logistical reasons. So, we had the opportunity to fabricate an outside scene, with a very distinct looking wall and surface replicating the ground beneath the boot.
Since we were heading into a holiday weekend, we had only a few days for approval and to get the final set ready. Oh Boy!
The whole team kicked into high gear, and we want to give special thanks to Mari Quirk for making the set, even though she had a family reunion weekend at her house.
The shoot went fantastically, as we had the opportunity to work with a great stylist from NYC, Emeka Obi, who styled the jeans, while boot assistant Rob Coshow gallantly modeled for the shoot.

From the Street and into the Studio
One of the most rewarding parts of working on various advertising shoots is seeing the final results a few months later. This was a shoot that required careful planning from the start. The original idea was to photograph people in various locations around Boston. Logistically it would have been possible, but to and not break the budget and give us total control, shooting in the studio made the most sense.
Over the course of three days, in the comfort of our studio, we transported our models into boardrooms, classrooms, and even a field of windmills. We shot the models in different poses with the idea that they would be holding a "window" into another part of the company.
The final results came out great! Take a journey and see for yourself!

Meet Hassy!
Indresano Photography would like to introduce you to our newest member of our team. Meet Hassy; our Swedish import, dedicated to making our images sing and our clients happy.
The great folks at EP Levine helped us get the latest Apple Mac Pro Tower and LED Cinema display synched to make sure that the huge, yet stunning files the Hasselblad H4-50 produces to can be shown to our clients instantly. Or if they prefer to relax in our massage chair, they can watch the the shoot progress in real time on an iPad. We are excited to use it next week on an upcoming shoot!
In no time the new camera is comfortable in Michael's hands as he takes it for his first test drive.
Millie, (from left) Michael, and Corey listen to Shawn from EP Levine explain the capabilities of the new camera and capture software.

Super Ice Cream Shoot
We could not have been more excited to see the Captain America shield up close for a recent Baskin Robbins photo shoot.
We don't get a chance to see such an iconic movie prop everyday, so it was definitely the star of the shoot. It arrived in a wooden crate straight from Hollywood, and we thought it would be fun to answer some questions that our inquiring readers may have;
Yes, it weighs more than the 12 pounds Marvel Comics claims.
Yes, it is very expensive. We can only imagine the insurance policy must be similar to these items/body parts.
Yes, we had to give it back. Too bad, they probably noticed if we tried to pull a switch-a-roo
No, we did not test to see if it would stop bullets. We did notice that it would stop a goat.
No, Chris Evans did not come along (sorry, ladies)
Be sure to check out the movie on July 22nd and get a scoop of Super Soldier Swirl!

Parisian Gold
Paris anyone? We were delighted to find out that we struck gold in the prestigious Prix de la Photographie (Px3) photo competition recently. In addition, we were selected for the gallery show exhibition which opens in Paris on June 29th. The award was for a series of ads created for the Rhode Island Coalition Against Domestic Violence to create awareness to the issue of domestic violence. We also would like to give special thanks to creative director Tim Needham for his vision for the shoot.

May showers brings... Muddy Boots!
Range Design called Michael to create a unique shot:
looking UP from inside a puddle!
It looks like a sunny day inside Indresano Studio.
This boot's really strung up.
Stylist Bonnie Anderson is on hand to 'make it rain'.
A lot goes into being a puddle-
Not a piece of equipment was spared.

It wasn't easy for Michael to allow this much dirt in his studio,
but look how it paid off!

The Science of a Photo Shoot
Finally! There was a reason why high school chemistry existed, other than to lower student GPAs and cause schools across the country to be evacuated, as Michael Indresano Studio went back to CHEM 101 and morphed into a research lab for a few days.
Fortunately this was not shot using film and processing it using chemicals, but we could have pulled it off by just going into the kitchen and creating our own darkroom.
After being sworn to Manhattan Project levels of secrecy, Michael and the rest of the team donned white lab coats and methodically created some wonderful images that the client was very happy with - and yes, the studio is still in one piece.

Hair and makeup artist, Heidi Wells, is careful not let any stray powder mix with the solution in the beakers.
There is no such thing as a "strange light" in a photo studio.
The entire creative team looks over the images.

Sara Mills-Broffman: Super Stylist
We had her create the perfect sand dune for a sunny getaway.
Of course, the sand needs to be perfect- down to the last grain.
For a change of gears, Sara stands in to help our model
hold up a kayak.
hold up a kayak.
Ever see anything more in need of a steaming than a tent?
Luckily, we can kick back at the end of the day and relax with some perfectly placed cans of soda.
